Research Interests

Dr. Abiola Keller is a community-engaged researcher whose work focuses on advancing health equity through collaborative partnerships with communities. Her research centers on addressing the social and structural factors that influence health, with particular emphasis on African American women caregivers and underserved communities. Using participatory methods such as group concept mapping and digital storytelling, she works alongside community members to identify priorities, elevate community strengths, and develop solutions that promote individual, family, and community well-being. Her research examines caregiving, empowerment, community resilience, and innovative approaches to community-engaged research, with the goal of creating sustainable, meaningful impact while strengthening partnerships between academic institutions and the communities they serve.
